Wharton MBA Candidates

Jyotika Chandhoke is pursuing her MBA/MA in International Studies from The Wharton School & Lauder Institute. Having previously worked in Investment Banking and Impact investing, Jyotika hopes to use her business skill set towards accelerating the growth of the climate-tech sector.

Ankit Agarwal is currently pursuing an MBA from Wharton and holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. Prior to Wharton, Ankit gained valuable work experience at Shell for six years. During this time, he held various roles in Project Management, Investing, and Product Management across locations including India, Netherlands, USA, and Malaysia. In his most recent position, Ankit was involved in the renewable energy sector where his team successfully invested $2B and developed a Sustainable Aviation Fuels Asset. His long-term career goal is to work in sustainability-related fields post-MBA. 

James Dohm is a first-year MBA Candidate at the Wharton School of Business, concentrating in Enviromental Sustainability and Finance. Originally from Los Angeles, James graduated summa cum laude with a chemical engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. Prior to Wharton, James worked in various operational and strategic assignments at ExxonMobil.

Julia Xiong spent 5 years at Silicon Valley Bank as a lender to early- to late-stage enterprise software startups, first in the Bay Area and then in the New York market. Following Wharton, Julia wants combine her passion for sustainability with her experience supporting founders and their ventures, by joining an early-stage climatetech firm and supporting their mission to commercialize climate solutions. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics and sustainable development from Columbia University in 2017. 

 
 
 

Lovely Sharma is currently a first-year student in the Wharton MBA program. Prior to Wharton, she spent over six years at Schlumberger in various roles, ranging from field engineer to Client Engagement Coordinator and Project Manager. In her role, she advised global energy clients across Russia, India, UAE, Malaysia and the U.S. More recently, she spent time as Category Head at Pristyn Care, a health-tech startup, and diversified her experience as an investor at Sagana, an impact investing. At Wharton, she aims to focus on renewable energy and sustainable technologies.

Edmund (Ned) Downie is a 2nd-year PhD student in the Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy program at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. He studies how emerging economies in Asia can decarbonize power and heavy industry and has published widely on China's low-carbon transition. Before Princeton, he worked in energy and finance consulting and was a Marshall Scholar at the University of Oxford (MPhil, International Relations).

Sawyer Birnbaum is an MBA candidate at Wharton majoring in Business, Energy, Environment and Sustainability. Prior to Wharton, Sawyer worked for three years as a machine learning engineer and data scientist at Afresh Technologies, a startup developing software that improves efficiency in the fresh food supply chain. Sawyer holds three degrees from Stanford: an M.S. in computer science, a B.S. in computer science, and a B.A. in political science.

Shivani Shikha is currently a first-year MBA student at Wharton, interested in pursuing clean-tech investing. She has 4 years of experience working in infrastructure and energy PE. Prior to Wharton, she spent 2 years as an associate at Basalt Infrastructure Partners, and before that, she was an analyst at Siemens Financial Services. She holds a B.S. from NYU, Stern School of Business, in Finance and Statistics.
